Warm Housing UK are striving
to keep tenants homes warm and cosy

The average annual energy bill, under the Ofgem price cap, is £1,923. We estimate that there are currently 6.3 million households in fuel poverty, unable to afford to heat their homes to the temperature needed to keep warm and healthy. In October 2021, we estimated there were 4.5 million UK households in fuel poverty. For more information, we have made a page on the UK energy crisis

Our Aim

Our aim is to make sure that all social housing tenants are benefiting from all the help available to them to keep warm through the winter months and have access to all help available to them.

We want to see no more serious illnesses  as a result of homes that are riddled with damp and pest infestations. We believe that all social housing tenants have an entitlement to live in comfortable warm and dry homes for themselves and their families to enjoy. Nearly 7 million UK households are in fuel poverty, they spend at least 15% of their income on keeping their homes warm.

Properties neglected by landlords

Many social housing tenants across the UK are living in sub standard accommodation that is not fit to live in, with social housing landlords doing little or nothing to make these homes habitable.

Where tenants have complained to their landlords more than 6 months ago and are still living in homes not fit for habitation there is immediate help at hand. Warm Housing UK can put tenants in touch immediately with specialist caring solicitors who can get things put right for tenants and obtain compensation for tenants to compensate them for the hardship of living in certain conditions.
